Hello, I know it's been a while.

Thank you for your patience with me as I try to navigate my life and figure out how to proceed with Blonde Sunrise. I wish I was able to be more active for you, but I've been doing my best to work things out and really appreciate everyone who has shown me patience and support.

I've written a post on my Patreon that goes into detail about my plans for Blonde Sunrise moving forward. The post is public so everyone can read it, and I highly encourage you to do so.

But the short of it is, Blonde Sunrise is a project I've put my heart and soul into, but my current circumstances has not allowed me to work on it the way I've wanted to. It's not secret that the webcomic has slowed to a crawl and become a shell of what it once was. While my passion never went away, my means to continue had. So I've made the very tough decision to cease work on the webcomic entirely.

This is not, however, the end of Blonde Sunrise. This is only the end of its time as a webcomic. It's my intention to take a step away and start again when I'm ready to return to this project. I'd like to bring it back improved and better than it was before, likely as a visual novel. I have more information in the Patreon post linked above.

Throughout the rest of May I'm going to be posting the writing for the remainder of the lycan arc to the Patreon. Over time I'm also going to be catching up the public website as well. I may share a little bit of the second arc as well, but updates will stop soon afterwards. Patreon will be getting the updates earlier, but everything will still become publicly available on here and on the tumblr mirror. My Patreon will also be closing later this year, once all the updates are posted.

It's been hard watching a project I've put so much of my heart into slowly fade away. But I believe these steps can help me reignite my passion for it, and I hope you can wait for me a little longer.

Hello! Happy New Year once again!

I know the state of the comic has been disappointing, and I sincerely apologize for that. These last few years have been rough, and it's not showing any signs of getting better. I had big hopes for 2024, and unfortunately I was unable to deliver.

And so I have decided that to keep the story going, I need to make a big change. From here on out Blonde Sunrise won't be just a comic. I will be telling the story in the way I find most suitable, including writing, illustrations, and occasionally more comic pages. I know it might disappoint you that I won't be continuing it entirely as a comic, but this is the change I've had to make to sustain the story.

I started Blonde Sunrise when I was still just a kid, and over the years it has become more and more difficult to find the time to work on it. It's always just been me working on this, and one person can only do so much. While I wish I could keep the comic going, it's no longer become realistic for me to do so. I've been feeling immense guilt for this for a very long time, and so I'm doing what I need to do in order to move forward.

While I know it may be jarring to go from comic pages to written media, I still hope you continue to enjoy the story. I don't have as much experience in the writing aspect of storytelling, so it will be a learning curve for me. But so far, I have found a lot of joy switching to writing, and it's given me a newfound excitement for the story. The slow pace of a webcomic was not a good match for the length of Blonde Sunrise, and there's still a LOT of story to get through. With this new format, it's my hope that the pace of the storytelling will increase significantly.

With that said, I don't have an update schedule. It definitely will be a lot more frequent than it has been in recent years, but I can't promise you exactly when updates will happen. I do have ways to get notified when updates happen though. As always, you can follow the RSS feed, as well as get notifications from Tumblr. I do want you to know that I've moved off of Twitter, but now you can also find update notifications on Bluesky. And as before, updates will always be posted first on my Patreon.

I also want to talk about the current state of the website. This website was built mostly by myself, but I'm no web designer. I've been using the same basic code since 2011, and I understand that doesn't make for the cleanest website. I know mobile especially doesn't look too great. I would like to overhaul the website for ease of viewing sometime in the future, but as an alternative solution for now I have decided to provide a mirror on Tumblr. It's my hope that this can help people who may not like using the website, and be easier to use for mobile readers.

Sorry again that updates have been so slow. I love Blonde Sunrise dearly, and I want nothing more than to see it continue. I hope you enjoy the story. Thank you for your patience, and thank you for reading and supporting as long as you have!
